Test add-ons related features this Friday
Join us for an add-ons compatibility and add-ons manager testday on March 4th. Firefox 4 features some major changes to the add-on system and a new add-ons manager. It’s critical to get as many eyes as possible on features that are related to add-ons. Please join and help ensure the quality of Firefox 4 for all of our over 400 million users world-wide. Join us on IRC at #testday on Friday to get involved.

Firefox for mobile now with more power
In case you missed it, Firefox for mobile beta 5 was made available. Mark Finkle gives us some insight into the performance improvements that went into Beta 5. You’ll notice improvements to start up time and page loading with noticeable differences on JavaScript benchmarks.

Help us build a Virtual Park
Mozilla has been raising funds to help protect Tumucumaque Park, home to one in 10 known species on Earth. Mozilla Japan just launched a Virtual Park that is growing an online version of this park out of people’s tweets. Help us grow the park by tweeting using #mozpark and then go check it out.

Mozilla Game on spotlight: Far7
The Mozilla Labs blog features a guest post this week from Egor Kuryanovich and the team who developed Far7. Far7 won Best Technology award in the Mozilla Labs Game On 2010 competition. Egor provides a little history on their startup, how they went about developing their game and the technologies they use. Check it out and see if you can conquer Far7.

Hackasaurus at the Digital Media and Learning Conference – March 3-5
The conference, in Long Beach, California, will gather innovators from around the world working at the intersection of education and the web – and provide Hackasaurus a great opportunity to recruit partners and contributors to help push its mission forward: to help youth hack. Next MDN Doc Sprint: April 1-2
After the huge success of our most recent documentation sprint for MDN, the Developer Engagement team will be organizing the next doc sprint on the weekend of April 1st and 2nd. Mark your calendars! Specific start and end times will be determined soon, probably at this week’s MDN community meeting: 10:00 am Pacific/18:00 UTC, March 2nd, in #devmo on irc.mozilla.org.

Meet Mozillian Karsten Düsterloh
Bonjour Mozilla! introduces us to Karsten Düsterloh.  Karsten Düsterloh, better known as Mnyromyr, is a German contributor who works on mailnews in SeaMonkey.  In particular, he develops an extension called Mnenhy. Thanks for your hard work!
