Brazilian Mozillians

William Quiviger and Chris Hoffman have just returned from a trip to Brazil where they had a chance to meet with local community members. During the event the whole group had a chance to pose for a great picture.

How Open Is Mozilla?
Paul Rouget has posted a great list of ways that the Mozilla project is open. If you’re new to Mozilla or even if you’ve been around for years, take a look and learn about some of the different ways to take part in the discussions going on in the community.

Geolocation Dev Derby
Chris Heilmann announces that this month’s Dev Derby is about the Geolocation API. Show us what you can do with location information in the browser—set markers for your friends on a map, collaboratively paint with them, find photos, tweets or foursquare checkins around you and more.

Hackasaurus Resources
Jessica Klein from the Hackasarus team has put out a call for teachers, parents, informal educators and students to help with developing Open Educational Resource materials. Help build a jam-in-a-box that will give people everything they need to run a Hackasaurus event.

Mozilla and Web Makers
Mark Surman believes that Mozilla has a lot to offer web makers and that these people can in turn help Mozilla build a world where millions more understand that the web is about making things. Read his thoughts and let him know what you think.
