Future of forums, Are we growing yet and more…
about:mozilla is a weekly round-up of news and contribution opportunities. Here’s what’s happening this week.
Future of Mozilla’s Discussion Forums
Michael Burns wants to know if you have a specific or general complaint about how we communicate across Mozilla, particularly in the Mailing Lists / Newsgroup / Discussion Forum space. He is doing some research on how we can address the current shortcomings of our mostly-Mailman setup. So, tell him what annoys you about trying to communicate across your team or project. Maybe he can fix it.
Are We Growing Yet?

We recently launched a dashboard at arewegrowingyet.com that provides information from the Get Involved page about people who want to contribute to Mozilla. Each day around 200 people express interest in contributing. If you’re interested in this dashboard and our other community data plans, join us for the Grow Mozilla discussion this week.
QA Contribution Opportunities
The Quality Assurance team has started blogging about available contribution opportunities for people who want to get involved with testing at Mozilla. If you’d like to get involved, check out testing opporunities with Moztrap, AMO and Marketplace.
Dear Mozilla Mirrors—Thank You
Matthew Zeier has written a thank you to the people behind Mozilla’s mirror network that has served up many petabytes of data in support of the Mozilla Mission to make the web an open place for all. Read more about what the mirror network has done and how the way we deliver Firefox to users is evolving.
Community Building Recipes
Mary Colvig offers up her favorite community building recipes by walking through examples from both Mozilla and other offerings. She shares how you can develop a strong loyalty with your contributors, users and fans that multiplies and deepens your relationship with them, leading to viable growth and impact.
