Hi Allasso, the Best Overall add-on will be chosen by the community from the pool of category winners. In other words, you choose which category you want to compete in, and the community decides which of the 5 category winners gets Best Overall.

I haven't heard about any changes in this. However, it sounds more like a web compatibility issue than an add-on compatibility issue. Try asking here.

You shouldn’t wait until the release date to test your add-on. It can take weeks before an update for your add-on becomes available, and that will hurt your users.

Pardon, I’m an android n00b but it seems this post is misleading.

I was not able to run arm emultion at all on my 64bit linux box. x86 images work but they are slow as hell especially Android 4+. Fennec crashes on Android 2.3, though. In any case, I couldn’t even access the preferences, forget about remote debugging: the about:config page loads but is not rendered at all (the thumbnail in the tab selection is accurate, though).

So yeah, I would not say developing for fennec without Android device is happening any time soon.

How about the NPAPI plugin?

Version is a property of NPAPI plugin. But in Firefox 22, it errors to get ‘Version’ from:

document.getElementById(‘testplugin’).Version.

Is there some changes about it?

My add-on automatically got upgraded to be 22 compatible. I will wait till 25th June to actually test it in the real browser.

Hello, Amy,

On the submission page there is still no category in the drop-down for “Best Overall Addon”. Is that category just a default of the other 5?
