Capture Knowledge for Good!

Wow! Mozilla is growing!  More products, more contributors, more passion and more to know and learn from each other.  And, all in a global context of people sharing and working together in ways that are uniquely Mozillian.  Quickly sharing knowledge and know-how is key to getting from vision to success, no matter the size and scope of your project.

How do we share our knowledge through the organization at a pace and in a way that matches the need? How do we do it so that I can get YOUR special knowledge without scheduling a meeting to do it?  And so that YOU can offer your special knowledge to empower me to be awesome! Wiki’s are a great start, but what about Video?

And so, we’re at ground floor with a new project called “Capture Mozilla”.  The project Wiki can be found here:  https://wiki.mozilla.org/Grow/Viki.

In short: The Capture Mozilla Project uses video to capture and share knowledge (from know-how to cultural) across the Mozilla community.

This Blog is the place we’ll be parking early video that the project produces- and when we say early we mean: imperfect first shots at capturing knowledge.  Many of the videos will be too long, too short, too boring, too…whatever.  Here you will be able to share what works, what doesn’t, and what you’d like to see more of in the videos we (and you) share here.

Oh, and who’s the “we” writing about t this project?  Dia Bondi and Dino Anderson- A Communications Coach and Curriculum Designer dedicated to making systems and experiences that empower all Mozillians to continue to contribute in meaningful ways.

More to come soon…
