on vacation in Japan

Just a note to let you know that I am on vacation this week (July 23-27) at a week-long conference held by the US-Japan Leadership Program.  I will be online sporadically and can be reached by phone as well.

    You called that a vacation?! I’d say you need a real trip, with some time off, not just a conference (although they can be quite enjoyable). Next time you have some free time, I’d recommend a train trip in canada for some real fun. It’s hard to beat the fresh air, high altitude and pristine scenery in the Canadian rockies.
