jQuery Core has more lines of fixes and patches for WebKit than any other browser. In general these are not recent regressions, but long-standing problems that have yet to be addressed.

IMHO, the simple fact that “everybody” is just ignoring those shortcomings by using jQuery in the first place is a good way for the webkit folks to ignore their bugs as well – and those webdevs don’t even know about them because jQuery hides them.
