Mozilla Scheduled Downtime – 9/27/2007, 10pm – 2am PDT (0500 – 0900 9/28/2007 UTC)

We will have a scheduled downtime window this Thursday night from 10pm to 2am PDT. The following changes will take place:

* 10pm PDT (0500 UTC) – MediaWiki security upgrades. We’ll be upgrading wiki.mozilla.org and various internal wikis to address security issues. No downtime is expected.
* 10pm PDT (0200 UTC) – stage.mozilla.org migration. Refer to http://weblogs.mozillazine.org/preed/2007/09/ftpmo_shiftreloaded.html for more details. Intermittent downtime is expected through the duration of the window.

Please let me know if you have any reason why we should not proceed with the planned maintenance. As always, we aim to keep downtime to as little as possible, but unexpected complications can arise causing longer downtime periods than expected. All systems should be operational by the end of the maintenance window. Feel free to email infra at mozilla.com if you see issues past the planned downtime.
