What’s up with SUMO – 9th January

Welcome to the first SUMO blog post for 2015. There will be many like it, but this one is first, so…. Some vintage fireworks for everyone! :-)

Greetings to the latest newcomers to SUMO

Apologies if I missed you – let me know in the comments section!

The latest SUMO Community meeting

Please find the agenda and notes here: https://etherpad.mozilla.org/sumo-2015-01-05. The video should be below – if it’s not showing, check your browser settings ;-)

Reminder: the next SUMO Community meeting…

  • …is going to take place on Monday, 12th of January. Join us live if you can! Details on how to do it and the agenda & notes can be found here.
  • If you want to add a discussion topic to the live meeting agenda:
    • Start a thread in the Community Forums, so that everyone in the community can see what will be discussed and voice their opinion here before Monday (this will make it easier to have an efficient meeting).
    • Please do so as soon as you can before the meeting, so that people have time to read, think, and reply (and also add it to the agenda).

Community shout-outs

  • Safwan for his contributions to developing Kitsune – cheers!
  • FredMcd for helping out with the escalation tag over the holidays and being a super star.

Developer news

Forum news

  • The lovely legions of people from Mozilla Hispano are going to be joining us soon. Stay tuned for more details about the migration/merge of support forums between Mozilla Hispano and SUMO.
  • We are working on a new view for the metrics dashboard and advanced search. More details soon, but you can already see some of the mocks made by Derek, our UX wizard, in the latest notes from the SUMO Platforms meeting.

KB news

L10n news

Firefox (+ OS, + for Android) news

…and that’s it for now. There will be a “look back at 2014” post here, soon – worry not ;-) We’re crunching the numbers and compiling the details. There’s still a chance for you to add your highlights and one wish for 2015 to the list.

Don’t forget to share our blog and Twitter with fellow (non-)Mozillians – we really appreciate that and it makes more people aware of SUMO’s mission and existence. Hasta luego!
