Les,

I totally spaced adding a section about MDN! Super sorry man (and to the rest of the MDN team).

There is at least 2 companies I know of running RTD internally, but I rather like ours being on the main site. MDN feels inappropriate for things like random django libraries and our onboarding. It feels more like a public service for web things, rather than place for us to push our own stuff.

Also, RTD is becoming more and more the defacto place for documentation. The Python community already heavily embraces it, and other communities are working their way there.

But seriously, I'm hoping in the next year we can do a much better job about gathering up docs like these and at least linking to them, if not providing our own read-the-docs-like service and search indexing in-house.
