We’ve started to build our first Release Candidate! This is a reminder to make sure your add-on is compatible with Firefox 4, as we’re getting close to launch. To have a chance of having your add-on promoted after Firefox 4 has launched, make sure you have submitted your add-on to the Firefox 4 Add-on collection competition.
To enter the competition, email us at fx4-compatibility@mozilla.com with “Add-on competition” in the subject line, a link to your add-on, your name, and a brief description of your add-on’s functionality.
Get your entries in by 11:59pm PST on March 6th 2011. If you win, we’ll reach out to you to let you know shortly before the launch of Firefox 4. Download the contest rules here.
We are also getting close to releasing Firefox 4 for Android and Maemo. When we launch our mobile Release Candidate, we’d like everyone to take the time to make their add-on compatible for Firefox 4 for mobile final release. We’re planning to see millions of installs of Firefox on mobile devices and we’d like your add-ons to get the exposure and recognition they deserve by making them available and compatible for installation.
