August 2013 Featured Add-ons

Our diligent community board has selected the featured add-ons for August! If you have an add-on to nominate, please send it to amo-featured@mozilla.org for the board’s consideration. It’s completely fine to submit your own add-on for consideration!

Pick of the Month: Stylish

Restyle the web with Stylish, a user styles manager. Stylish lets you easily install themes and skins for Google, Facebook, YouTube, Orkut, and many, many other sites. You can even customize Firefox.

I have been using Stylish for a long time now, maybe five or six years. In that time, I have used it to more and more effect, as I customized my most-used websites to my personal preferences. As the title implies, I couldn’t live without it.”

I can’t say enough good things about Stylish.
I don’t believe that I’ve left a review since the old AMO perhaps UMO. Maybe never.
    Time to do that.

Why isn’t there a feature complete theme of August?

      Because… there is Stylish? 😉

Featured complete themes are chosen every quarter, so the next one will be featured in October.

I see. Is there some way to put at least featured custom themes on page one like add-ons?

Thanks for the suggestion. The Featured Complete Themes collection is now under Featured Collections on the homepage of AMO.

Nahh that’s not what I meant. I remember back in the Firefox 2 days the website had it’s own theme box on page one. I can’t remember if themes were categorized featured, by downloads, or just random but every time I reload the page different themes appeared. Look I know a thing or two about web development and most users click on the first thing they see. Putting custom themes in a collection on the bottom of the page is…. well not a lot people go there.

Ok, I see what you mean. Every few months, we create new homepage promos, and I’ll put Complete Themes on the list for next time.
