Worth noting, where multiple switchers are required:

    – User-Agent Switcher (revived) does NOT have that name when installed.

    Instead, look for:

    – User-Agent Switcher

I have legacy version 0.18 installed alongside 0.19, both with the same name, both disabled.

My current preference is a combination of these two extensions:

    User Agent Overrider
    https://addons.mozilla.org/addon/user-agent-overrider/

Custom User-Agent (Revived) also known as
    Custom UserAgent String
    https://addons.mozilla.org/addon/custom-user-agent-revived/
    – that’s from the same developer as User-Agent Switcher (revived) also known as User-Agent Switcher.

Scott, can you give a distinctive title to this post? For consistency, maybe:

    November’s Featured Extensions

    – thanks.

Woah! No idea what happened to the title. I’ve added it back in. Thanks for catching!

Clasic Theme Restorer. The best of the best.

      I can’t argue.

More than any other extension, CTR helped me to feel at ease with Firefox during a long, sometimes tortuous, switch away from Safari in OS X 10.9.5 (Mavericks). Yosemite pooped on me. When updates to Firefox began bringing flakiness to CTR, I got twitchy.

At ease with CTR for Firefox but hey, no offence to the developers, the arrays of preferences in CTR made my brain bleed so hard that my poop turned black. Still, I loved it – so it _was_ difficult to give it up but now: I don’t miss it.

Free from the old presets, I found new ways to customise Firefox. ‘Bookmarks Toolbar Items’ … away from the bookmarks bar, up and into the menu bar. Now my bookmarks bar is devoted to buttons for extensions. Freakbar freakshow? Maybe. But now I’m pooping rainbows. Classic rainbows, 56.0.2 of them.

@Scott in the new AMO home page there is no place for the “Pick of the Month”. So what is the point of nominating add-ons?

    1. Scott DeVaney wrote on

      Hi, Ray. A couple things…

The new AMO will be evolving. What you see today will change and develop, including reincorporating a way to showcase our POTM.

Also, when the community nominates extensions for featuring, it’s not just nominating for the POTM. Nominations that are accepted by the Feature Board become part of our broader Featured Extensions collection, which is ever-present on AMO.

    ICH WILL MEINE “DOWNLOAD-STATUSBAR” WIEDERHABEN!!!

The upgrade to quantum disabled the Moblie dyslexie add-on. Is this coming back? Is there something better? I really need this.
