Throughout\u00a0 this two-month campaign we have seen people on nearly every continent\u00a0 increase their web literacy by writing their first line of code, making their first app, taking steps to protect their privacy, or creating engaging content for others to enjoy, share or remix. They&#8217;re all coming together thanks to the individuals and organizations that are helping us grow a movement by teaching their friends, family and communities through hands-on making and learning events.<\/span><\/div>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<div id=\"magicdomid334\" class=\"ace-line\"><span class=\"author-g-uefyd8omfh4rfecj\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div id=\"magicdomid335\" class=\"ace-line\"><span class=\"author-g-uefyd8omfh4rfecj\">In the first month alone:<\/span><\/div>\n<div id=\"magicdomid336\" class=\"ace-line\"><span class=\"author-g-uefyd8omfh4rfecj\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"author-g-uefyd8omfh4rfecj\">1800 events have been logged at webmaker.org\/events<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"author-g-uefyd8omfh4rfecj\">75,550 individuals attended a Maker Party event<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"author-g-uefyd8omfh4rfecj\">485 individuals hosted events\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"author-g-uefyd8omfh4rfecj\">300 organizations hosted events and\/or helped us spread the world about Maker Party<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"author-g-uefyd8omfh4rfecj\">People in 74 countries have been involved in this global campaign<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div id=\"magicdomid342\" class=\"ace-line\"><span class=\"author-g-uefyd8omfh4rfecj\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.mozilla.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/makerpartymap.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large and teach Net Neutrality. (Read the <a href=\"https:\/\/storify.com\/mozilla\/net-neutrality-tweet-chat-from-mozilla-s-teaminter%20\">tweetchat<\/a> that followed.)<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"magicdomid393\" class=\"ace-line\"><span class=\"author-g-uefyd8omfh4rfecj\">There are many more Maker Party events coming up in the next few weeks as students of all ages return to school in many parts of the world.
