Helmsley Charitable Trust, we are excited to announce <\/span><span class=\"author-p-21003\">the <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/mozillascience.org\"><span class=\"author-g-lymrto6fmqvh1o72\">Mozilla <\/span><\/a><span class=\"author-p-21003\"><a href=\"http:\/\/mozillascience.org\">Science Lab&#8217;s<\/a> first<\/span><span class=\"author-g-tk4gdfoy4uuhybha\"> Open Science fellowship program. The grant is one of the first\u00a0 investments by the Trust&#8217;s new funding program dedicated to\u00a0 collaboration, reproducibility, and infrastructure in biomedical\u00a0 sciences. <\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"\"><\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<div id=\"magicdomid31\" class=\"\"><span class=\"author-g-tk4gdfoy4uuhybha\">Our two-year, $1.7 million dollar grant build<\/span><span class=\"author-p-21003\">s<\/span><span class=\"author-g-tk4gdfoy4uuhybha\"> on our existing educational work supporting skills training and capacity building for the biomedical and physical sciences. It features a fellowship program for early-career researchers focused on promoting more efficient, collaborative research and building leadership within\u00a0 the community. The ten-month fellowships will include computational and data training and mentorship needed to serve as open science trainers. In addition to training, fellows will\u00a0 develop new materials, tools, and projects to further science on the\u00a0 web. <\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"\"><\/div>\n<\/p>\n<div id=\"magicdomid33\" class=\"\"><span class=\"author-p-21003\">The grant also supports curriculum design, a data training program and train-the-trainers activities for researchers, extending the Lab&#8217;s existing work to provide learning pathways for researchers around open practice. <\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"\"><\/div>\n<\/p>\n<div id=\"magicdomid35\" class=\"\"><span class=\"author-p-21003\">The <\/span><span class=\"author-g-lymrto6fmqvh1o72\">Mozilla <\/span><span class=\"author-p-21003\">Science Lab, an initiative of the\u00a0 Mozilla Foundation, works with partners around the world to bring principles and values of the open web <\/span><span class=\"author-g-lymrto6fmqvh1o72\">to <\/span><span class=\"author-p-21003\">advance scientific discovery.
