Panasonic unveiled<\/a> their new line of 4K Ultra HD TVs powered by Firefox OS at their convention in Frankfurt today. The Panasonic 2015 4k UHD (Ultra HD) LED VIERA TV, which will be shipping this spring, will also be showcased at Mozilla’s stand at Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona. Like last year, Firefox OS will take its place in Hall 3, Stand 3C30, alongside major operators and device manufacturers.<\/p>\n

In addition to the Panasonic TV and the latest Firefox OS smartphones announced, visitors have the opportunity to learn more about Mozilla\u2019s innovation projects during talks at the \u201cFox Den\u201d at Mozilla\u2019s stand, Hall 3, Stand 3C30. Just one example from the demo program:<\/p>\n

Mozilla, in collaboration with its partners at Deutsche Telekom Innovation Labs (centers in Silicon Valley and Berlin) and T-Mobile Poland, developed the design and implementation of Firefox OS\u2019s NFC infrastructure to enable several applications including mobile payments, transportation services, door access and media sharing. The mobile wallet demo covering \u2018MasterCard\u00ae Contactless\u2019 technology together with few non-payment functionalities will be showcased in “FoxDen” talks.<\/p>\n
