{"id":141,"date":"2007-03-03T08:21:49","date_gmt":"2007-03-03T08:21:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mozillacalendar2.wordpress.com\/2007\/03\/03\/weve_been_thinking_about_setti\/"},"modified":"2007-03-03T08:21:49","modified_gmt":"2007-03-03T08:21:49","slug":"weve_been_thinking_about_setti","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.mozilla.org\/calendar\/2007\/03\/weve_been_thinking_about_setti\/","title":{"rendered":"Sunbird\/Lightning merchandising (T-shirts, coffee mugs, etc.)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;ve been thinking about setting up a shop for Sunbird\/Lightning merchandising stuff (t-shirts, coffee mugs, etc.), to give people the chance to show their appreciation for our products.<\/p>\n<p>But before we do that, there&#8217;s the question, whether anybody would be interested in buying such stuff.<\/p>\n<p>We would probably go for a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cafepress.com\">cafepress<\/a> shop, because they have pretty decent shipping costs for US and international customers and a bigger variety of non-T-shirt stuff we could offer.<\/p>\n<p>So do you think that this is a good idea? Would you buy a cool Sunbird t-shirt or a blazing Lightning coffee mug?<\/p>\n<p>If yes, would you mind, if we try to make some small money from it or do you want the shop to be non-profit? That money could be used for a whole lot of stuff, like<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>buying a present for the most active tester on a QA testday<\/li>\n<li>bug bounties<\/li>\n<li>travel expenses for developers<\/li>\n<li>free beer on the yearly developer face-to-face meeting :-))<\/li>\n<li>hiring a developer full-time (in case we make <u><strong>a lot<\/strong><\/u> of money)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We would be really interested in hearing your thoughts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;ve been thinking about setting up a shop for Sunbird\/Lightning merchandising stuff (t-shirts, coffee mugs, etc.), to give people the chance to show their appreciation for our products.
