{"id":334,"date":"2009-11-25T06:55:34","date_gmt":"2009-11-25T06:55:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mozillacalendar2.wordpress.com\/2009\/11\/25\/getting_a_database_error_in_yo\/"},"modified":"2012-03-27T13:54:13","modified_gmt":"2012-03-27T13:54:13","slug":"getting_a_database_error_in_yo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.mozilla.org\/calendar\/2009\/11\/getting_a_database_error_in_yo\/","title":{"rendered":"Getting a Database Error in your Nightly?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><i>This post is directed towards those of you who are regularly using nightly builds.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Due to some problems in the upgrader code for the local storage calendar, some of you might be getting an error like:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Error updating timezones: Error: mozIStorageStatement::step() returned<br \/>\nan error<br \/>\nDB Error no such column: recurrence_id_tz<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>To be more specific, this should affect all nightly users that have used a build after 2009-11-07. Fortunately, we have fixed this issue in <a href=\"https:\/\/bugzilla.mozilla.org\/show_bug.cgi?id=529853\">bug 529853<\/a>, but this won&#8217;t save nightly users that already have a broken profile. Luckily, its quite easy to fix the problem manually.<\/p>\n<p>I have created an <a href=\"https:\/\/bugzilla.mozilla.org\/attachment.cgi?id=415822\">extension<\/a> that can be used detect if your profile is broken and also to repair it. For more information, please see <a href=\"https:\/\/bugzilla.mozilla.org\/show_bug.cgi?id=529853\">bug 529853<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><b>Update:<\/b>The first version of the extension didn&#8217;t properly update the cached calendar.
