{"id":55,"date":"2006-01-06T02:47:07","date_gmt":"2006-01-06T02:47:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mozillacalendar2.wordpress.com\/2006\/01\/06\/calendarcode_synchronised_with\/"},"modified":"2006-01-06T02:47:07","modified_gmt":"2006-01-06T02:47:07","slug":"calendarcode_synchronised_with","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.mozilla.org\/calendar\/2006\/01\/calendarcode_synchronised_with\/","title":{"rendered":"Calendar-code synchronised with the Mozilla 1.8 Branch"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday evening all calendar-related code from the trunk was synchronised with the MOZILLA_1_8_BRANCH code branch by Dan Mosedale.<\/p>\n<p>This will allow us to build versions of Lightning that work with Thunderbird 1.5 and it will give everyone who is building from the branch an up-to-date Calendar extension, if they&#8217;ve built with the &#8211;enable-calendar build-option.<br \/>\nAdditionally, we&#8217;re in the process of getting some Tinderboxen up and running (thanks Chase!) at <a href=\"http:\/\/tinderbox.mozilla.org\/showbuilds.cgi?tree=Sunbird-Mozilla1.8\">http:\/\/tinderbox.mozilla.org\/showbuilds.cgi?tree=Sunbird-Mozilla1.8<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In the not-too-distant future, there should be some sort of server-based mechanism (as per <a href=\"https:\/\/bugzilla.mozilla.org\/show_bug.cgi?id=322260\">bug 322260<\/a>) that we can use to automatically sync trunk checkins to mozilla\/calendar to the branch.  Until that mechanism arrives every developer will commit to CVS using Myk&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/developer.mozilla.org\/en\/docs\/Using_cross_commit\">cross-commit tool<\/a> for<br \/>\ncommitting to mozilla\/calendar.<\/p>\n<p>The idea would be that development and testing would continue to happen as per usual on the trunk, but that we&#8217;d try and fix any lossage that the cross-commits did to the branch ex post facto.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday evening all calendar-related code from the trunk was synchronised with the MOZILLA_1_8_BRANCH code branch by Dan Mosedale.
