{"id":771,"date":"2013-03-20T17:56:19","date_gmt":"2013-03-20T17:56:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.mozilla.org\/community\/?p=771"},"modified":"2013-03-20T23:53:45","modified_gmt":"2013-03-20T23:53:45","slug":"mozilla-reps-mwc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.mozilla.org\/community\/2013\/03\/20\/mozilla-reps-mwc\/","title":{"rendered":"Mozilla Reps Get Raves at MWC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a title=\"Mozilla\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mozilla.org\">Mozilla<\/a> created such a positive vibe at the <a title=\"Mozilla at Mobile World Congress\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mozilla.org\/mwc\">Mobile World Congress<\/a> last month and a lot of the anecdotes from people who went to the <a title=\"Firefox OS\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mozilla.org\/en-US\/firefoxos\/\">Firefox OS<\/a> booth indicated very engaging encounters with Mozilla folks there.<\/p>\n<p>And it&#8217;s really not a surprise given that several <a title=\"Mozilla Reps\" href=\"http:\/\/reps.mozilla.org\">Mozilla Reps<\/a> were in the forefront of those positive feedback&#8211; Reps from the <a title=\"Mozilla Hispano\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mozilla-hispano.org\">Mozilla Hispano<\/a> and <a title=\"Mozilla Brasil\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mozillabrasil.org.br\/\">Mozilla Brasil<\/a> communities were at the MWC event floor giving demos, explaining the new OS, and actively conversing with visitors.<\/p>\n<p>Guillermo Lopez (Spain), Rub\u00e9n Mart\u00edn (Spain),\u00a0 Arturo Martinez (Venezuela), Gloria Meneses (Colombia), and Ricardo Pontes (Brazil) all received stellar reviews from media, event visitors, and Mozillians alike, as they demonstrated how volunteers and Reps can bring energy and enthusiasm even in huge undertakings like the Firefox OS global launch.<\/p>\n<p>The group created a video for fellow Reps, but it also shows everyone how happy they were to do their part and contribute in a way not a lot of people thought was possible before (Mitchell Baker even has a cameo):<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/youtu.be\/uHWwbxfMTbU\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"Mozilla Reps at MWC\" src=\"https:\/\/www.evernote.com\/shard\/s18\/sh\/ce049c2e-a7e8-4f98-a59b-29d788d6bbb3\/d417a1be5990ef3f8755a78c326da71a\/res\/059c46cc-c8ad-4164-af18-4376200cb6d5\/skitch.png\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" \/><\/a>Mitchell sums it up perfectly as she highlights the importance of &#8220;empowerment of people all over&#8221; to help make Firefox OS an MWC hit.
