To make the most of these moments, we&#8217;re creating a new Mozilla logo that will represent our values and help communicate the story of our brand. (If you&#8217;re new to this project I recommend reading the <a href=\"http:\/\/mozilla.seanmartell.com\/brand-project\/index.php?directory=.\" target=\"_blank\">overview<\/a> and a couple of earlier <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.mozilla.org\/creative\/2014\/08\/11\/building-a-new-brand-identity-system-for-mozilla\/\" target=\"_blank\">blog<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.seanmartell.com\/2014\/08\/11\/what-is-a-living-brand\/\" target=\"_blank\">posts<\/a> to get caught up on the strategy.)<\/p>\n<p>Of course, an essential element of this brand story is the open source philosophy that Mozilla is built on. We know that projects are improved by participation and transparency, so it&#8217;s of the utmost importance that any effort to visually represent what we stand for include the community every step of the way. This logo will belong to all Mozillians, and its creation process must reflect that.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ve been <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.mozilla.org\/creative\/2014\/09\/02\/time-lapse-logo-explorations\/\" target=\"_blank\">posting<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.mozilla.org\/creative\/2014\/09\/11\/logo-explorations-continued\/\" target=\"_blank\">updates<\/a> during the early concepting phase, and will share more specific ideas for your feedback as things take shape. But before then, I do have one very important ask for everyone reading this: please give us your input on what you&#8217;d like to get out of this process.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve put together a <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/a\/mozilla.com\/forms\/d\/11KBnJPhREbRxRRzJ7lsj76BaT-dsMaErROwYCrpOE8c\/viewform\" target=\"_blank\">quick survey<\/a> that will help us understand how the new logo will be used, and what the Mozilla community&#8217;s visual identity needs are.
