It\u2019s community-powered \u2013 contributors offer answers and support to make someone\u2019s day a little easier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We celebrated this global community last month with Ask-A-Fox, a weeklong virtual event that brought together longtime contributors, newcomers and Mozilla staffers. The idea was simple: connect across time zones, trade tips and yes, answer questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Contributor appreciation, AMAs and an emoji hunt<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For one lively week, contributors across Firefox and Thunderbird rallied together. Reply rates soared, response times dropped, and the forums buzzed with renewed energy. But the real story was the sense of connection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There were live Ask Me Anything sessions with Mozilla\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=GFF5NBSN-8I\">WebCompat<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=apYYhHJINFY\">Web Performance<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ldnv11tF6iY\">Thunderbird<\/a> teams. There was even a playful \ud83e\udd8a + \u26a1 emoji hunt through our Knowledge Base.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThat AMA was really interesting,\u201d said longtime Firefox contributor Paul. \u201cI learned a lot and I recommend those that could not watch it live catch the recording as I am sure it will be very useful in helping users in SUMO.\u201d<br><br>Ask-A-Fox was a celebration of people: long-time contributors, brand-new faces and everyone in between. Here are just a few standout contributors:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Firefox Desktop (including Enterprise)<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong> Paul, Denyshon, Jonz4SUSE, @next, jscher2000<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Firefox for Android<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong> Paul, TyDraniu, GerardoPcp04, Mad_Maks, sjohnn<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Firefox for iOS<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong> Paul, Simon.c.lord, TyDraniu, Mad_Maks, Mozilla-assistent<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Thunderbird (including Android)<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong> Davidsk, Sfhowes, Mozilla98, MattAuSupport, Christ1<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Newcomers mozilla98, starretreat, sjohnn, Vexi, Mark, Mapenzi, cartdaniel437, hariiee1277, and thisisharsh7 also made a big impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>New contributor Shirmaya John said, \u201cI love helping people, and I\u2019m passionate about computers, so assisting with bugs or other tech issues really makes my day. I\u2019m excited to grow here!\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Contributor Vincent won our Staff Award for the highest number of replies during the week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAsk a Fox highlights the incredible collaborative spirit of our community. A reminder of what we can achieve when we unite around a shared goal,\u201d said Kiki Kelimutu, a senior community manager at Mozilla.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Firefox has been powered by community from the start<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As Mozilla\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.mozilla.org\/careers\/communities-program-manager-konstantina-papadea-on-building-strong-communities-through-genuine-engagement\/\">communities program manager<\/a>, I\u2019ve seen firsthand how genuine connection fuels everything we do. Members of our community aren\u2019t just answering questions; they\u2019re about building relationships, learning together, and showing up for one another with authenticity and care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mozilla is built by people who believe the internet should be open and accessible to all, and our community is the heartbeat of that vision. What started back in 2007 (and found its online home in 2010 at <a href=\"https:\/\/support.mozilla.org\">support.mozilla.org<\/a>) has grown into a global network of contributors helping millions of Firefox users find answers, share solutions and get back on their Firefox journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Every question answered not only helps a user, it helps us build a better Firefox. By surfacing real issues and feedback, our community shapes the course of our products and keeps the web stronger for everyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Join the next Ask-A-Fox<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Ask-A-Fox is a celebration of what makes Mozilla unique: our people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As someone who\u2019s spent years building communities, I know that lasting engagement doesn\u2019t come from numbers or dashboards. It comes from treating contributors as individuals \u2014 people who bring their own stories, skills, and care to the table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When Mozillians come together to share knowledge, laughter or even a few emojis, the result is more than faster replies.
