Android and iOS are coming soon. Whether you want to search with Startpage, or another preferred search engine, it\u2019s as easy as opening your search settings, picking a default, and done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And if you&#8217;re happy with your current search engine, nothing about your setup changes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video controls src=\"https:\/\/blog.mozilla.org\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/278\/files\/2026\/08\/set-default_en-US_no-google.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Why Europe first<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This launch starts in Startpage&#8217;s home markets: a Netherlands-based search engine, now built into the browser for some of the most privacy-conscious users in the world. At a moment when so much of the web experience is decided by a handful of very large companies, a search option that&#8217;s private by design and European by origin isn&#8217;t a small thing.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What Startpage delivers<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Startpage delivers full, high-quality search results without the privacy trade off.
