Maker Party is Mozilla’s annual global campaign to teach the web through hands-on learning and making, and we are excited to announce that this year it will run from July 15 to September 15.
Maker Party is all about providing a fun, community-based way for people of all skill levels to learn to become makers, not just users, of the web. This year we are hoping to have more than 2400 events in over 400 cities across the world. Maker Party’s success depends on people like you, who throw events and teach the culture, mechanics and citizenship of the web.
Check out some of the new additions we’ve been busy getting ready for Maker Party 2014:
- A fabulously updated Maker Party website. Take a moment to look around, watch the videos and check out the great resources. Stay tuned, as there are more resources coming soon.
- A redesigned events page. Here you can search for upcoming events in your area, and list your Maker Party events to spread the word and attract more guests.
- A new Partnership Program that makes it even simpler for organizations to join us as a 2014 Maker Party Partner.
We are confident that this year is going to be the most exciting and inventive Maker Party yet, and we hope that you will be apart of it. Sign up now to get updates on Maker Party 2014 and find out how you can join us in celebrating making and learning with hundreds of thousands of people around the world.
