Every week, people in the community are throwing events all over the world to celebrate Maker Party. We’ve been showcasing many of those events and the cool things people are making on this blog, but there’s still more to share!
Here’s what happened this past week:
Manila, Philippines
Bangalore, India
In Bangalore we celebrated with Hive India at their Maker Party that takes places took place all weekend, September 6-8th. From creating Popcorn videos to hacking websites like this one (click on jobless and useless!) everyone was very busy. Attendees even did a tweet shout-out to the sister Maker Party in Manila, sending a picture of them waving. You can check out real time photos of the team here.
London, UK
Campus Party took place all week, September 2-7, in London, England. Campus Party annual week long, 24-hours-a-day technology festival where thousands of “Campuseros” (hackers, developers, gamers and technophiles), equipped with laptops, camp on-site and immerse themselves in a truly unique environment. Our Webmaker team was on-site all week leading events and Maker Parties. You can see them in action in these pictures. You can see makes featuring cats, dogs, penguins and Justin Beiber here, here and here.
Madrid, Spain
Last weekend 30+ Mozilla Reps from around the globe gathered at Mozilla Reps Camp in Madrid, which included a 1-hour Webmaker/Maker Party session. You can see all the pictures of the camp here and be sure to check out the awesome makes here. I particularly like Regnard’s comic on “How to create a webmaker event as a rep.”
