One of the great strengths of the Science Lab is the huge cross section of open science stakeholders that assemble around our events and conversations. Scientists and researchers as well as librarians, students, publishers, funders and technologists have consistently jumped in to offer their perspectives and coordinate their efforts with each other, and this deep cross section opens up a lot of possibilities. What goals are in reach are determined in large part by who’s sitting at your table.<\/p>\n
Our first fellowship program<\/a> was announced last week; three more chairs have been added to that table. The thing that makes these fellowships so exciting is the opportunity they offer to execute on something big, by giving the fellows the support and space to focus on a big lift, but also by plugging them into the huge network of tremendous people that transact ideas at the Science Lab every day. As a Mozilla Science Fellow, you will open up a conduit between your home institution and the broader open science community that will allow you to channel the expertise and enthusiasm of that community into something of substance and transformative change at home and abroad.<\/p>\n If you’re considering applying – please do<\/a>.
