Read the full text and their findings <a href=\"http:\/\/bmjopen.bmj.com\/content\/5\/9\/e008707.full\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.innovationpolicyplatform.org\/content\/open-science\">&#8220;Making Open Science a Reality&#8221;<\/a>, a full report by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.oecd.org\/\">Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)<\/a> posted on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.innovationpolicyplatform.org\/\">Innovation Policy Platform<\/a> site. A great read for those interested it taking a look at the background and challenges of open science today.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Government and Policy<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Open government and open science were front and centre last week when the US Government announced new policies on Citizen Science and Crowdsourcing at a live forum entitled &#8220;Open Science and Innovation: Of the People, By the People, For the People&#8221;. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/chandraclarke\">Chandra Clarke<\/a> writes a great <a href=\"http:\/\/www.popsci.com\/white-house-hosting-forum-on-citizen-science-and-crowdsourcing\">blog<\/a> in the lead up to the forum posted on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.popsci.com\/blog-network\">Popular Science<\/a>. Lots of comments and links can be seen at #whcitsci. Take a look at the <a href=\"http:\/\/coons.senate.gov\/download\/?id=063AEFE6-CB5C-42FD-8FD6-57F58BD1AC5B\">Crowdsourcing and Citizen Science Act 2015<\/a> to read about clarifications to government agencies around the use of crowdsourcing techniques.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Lessons and Projects<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Mozilla Study Groups have created a new index to list Study Group lessons from around the world by topic, research field and difficulty level.
