This month we hear from Francesca\u00a0Mancini (<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/frances_mancini\">@frances_mancini<\/a> on Twitter) who manages the <a href=\"https:\/\/aberdeenstudygroup.github.io\/studyGroup\/\">Aberdeen Study Group<\/a> in Aberdeen, Scotland.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>Study Group Description:<\/h2>\n<p class=\"m_6131997005976292955MsoListParagraph\">The Aberdeen Study Group is a fun and informal environment where we share ideas and skills on how to make our research more open and reproducible. We are a mixed bunch: biologists, ecologists, bioinformaticians, social scientists, students, post-docs and academics.<\/p>\n<p class=\"m_6131997005976292955MsoListParagraph\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4074\" src=\"https:\/\/mozscienceblog.wpengine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Logo.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"724\" height=\"271\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Current plans:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Since March we have organised a Hacky Hour, a few tutorials on GitHub, R and Python (check them out here! <a href=\"https:\/\/aberdeenstudygroup.github.io\/studyGroup\/lessons\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">https:\/\/aberdeenstudygroup.github.io\/studyGroup\/lessons\/<\/a>) and a couple of co-working sessions.
