In April, we read The Leap by Ulrich Boser and benefited from amazing conversation with our fellows/staff, the authors, and the broader community in the wake of our Community Call (April 13th) on trust in open science. Our upcoming Community Call (June 8th) is themed around reproducibility, experimental design in open science and principles of data refuge/reuse, and in April we started planning a book club to match those themes. At the Mozilla Science Lab, this theme is dear to our mission: leveraging the internet to build open networked intelligence in the research sciences. With our iheartopendata campaign, Mozilla Fellowships, Study Groups, projects, events, and mini-grants programs, we hope to continue to bolster open science on the web, and this month’s book underlines some of our motivations and seems to be popular with our growing community!
