Maker Party 2013<\/a> <\/strong>kicks off on Saturday! <\/strong><\/h3>\n

Participants will be getting together at a diverse range of hack jams, meet-ups and code parties<\/a> around the world. Here\u2019s a sneak peek at an event happening June 22 at the New York Hall of Science<\/a> (NYSCI).
\n“It’s an awesome feeling knowing that Maker Parties like this are happening on a global scale<\/strong>,” says NYSCI’s Manager of Digital Programming, Anthony Negron<\/strong>. “The atmosphere of these events are so inspiring for everyone, and teens are really responsive to this type of format.”

What will people make and learn together?<\/h3>\n

The NYSCI pop-up party will bring together teens aged 13 to 18 for music, games, food, prizes and “Creativity Stations.”<\/strong> The menu of what’s on offer is a great example of the diversity and creativity we’ll see on display throughout Maker Party over the next three months:<\/p>\n
