{"id":469,"date":"2015-10-07T14:50:18","date_gmt":"2015-10-07T14:50:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.mozilla.org\/webqa\/?p=469"},"modified":"2015-10-07T14:50:18","modified_gmt":"2015-10-07T14:50:18","slug":"web-qas-new-irc-bot","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.mozilla.org\/fxtesteng\/2015\/10\/07\/web-qas-new-irc-bot\/","title":{"rendered":"Web QA&#8217;s New IRC Bot"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are pleased to announce that our brand new IRC bot, <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/mozilla\/webqabot\">webqabot<\/a>, has joined our <a href=\"http:\/\/widget01.mibbit.com\/?settings=1b10107157e79b08f2bf99a11f521973&amp;server=irc.mozilla.org&amp;channel=%23mozwebqa\">IRC channel<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>webqabot is very similar to mozwebqabot, who used to inhabit the channel, except it is built upon <a href=\"https:\/\/hubot.github.com\/\">Hubot<\/a>. It does most of what mozwebqabot did, and also has a nifty new feature which allows it to announce activity in any of our GitHub repositories. You may therefore notice a small increase in messages from the bot in the channel whenever GitHub issues and pull requests are opened and closed, as well as when code is committed.<\/p>\n<p>There are a few issues open for webqabot, so if you&#8217;re interested in helping out, and getting some experience with node.js and CoffeeScript, <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/mozilla\/webqabot\/issues\">check them out<\/a>.
