The goal of Watchdog is to make it easier for you to make wise decisions about your privacy and security. However, even if you&#8217;ve taken care to avoid password reuse, we often forget to regularly change our passwords. Just as with password reuse, there currently doesn&#8217;t exist a good way to see which of your Firefox passwords need to be replaced. Enter the <a href=\"https:\/\/addons.mozilla.org\/en-US\/firefox\/addon\/visualize-old-passwords\/\" target=\"_blank\">Password Age Visualizer<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Once again, data visualization makes it a lot easier to see where to start.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.mozilla.org\/labs\/files\/2012\/03\/Screen-shot-2012-03-09-at-3.57.15-AM.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7667\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.mozilla.org\/labs\/files\/2012\/03\/Screen-shot-2012-03-09-at-3.57.15-AM.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"593\" height=\"675\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.mozilla.org\/labs\/files\/2012\/03\/Screen-shot-2012-03-09-at-3.57.15-AM.png 593w, https:\/\/blog.mozilla.org\/labs\/files\/2012\/03\/Screen-shot-2012-03-09-at-3.57.15-AM-263x300.png 263w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 593px) 100vw, 593px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>On <a href=\"http:\/\/connectioni.st\/\">my blog<\/a>, I wrote:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;This is a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bullet_graph\" target=\"_blank\">bullet graph<\/a>. You can think of it as a series of timelines. On the left, you can see a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/connectioni.st\/2011\/12\/visual-password-hashing-for-your.html\" target=\"_blank\">visual hash<\/a>\u00a0for each of your passwords.\u00a0Each bar shows how many days it&#8217;s been since you first used that password.<\/p>\n<p>Once a password has been used for over 200 days, its bar turns red. Every time I&#8217;ve used that password on a new site, a black tick marker appears on the timeline. Looks like my oldest passwords are my most frequently used.
