We are digging deeply into Beta and Aurora prior to the holidays. Dolphin, Maxthon and Sleipnir finished in the top three positions.\n<\/ul>\n<h4 class=\"mw-headline\" id=\"Google\">Google<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li> A problem with both Chrome and the server-side sync service caused <a class=\"external text\" href=\"http:\/\/www.wired.com\/wiredenterprise\/2012\/12\/google-bug\/\" rel=\"nofollow\">millions of Chrome users to have crashes yesterday<\/a>\n<li> The Chrome team awarded <a class=\"external text\" href=\"http:\/\/googlechromereleases.blogspot.com\/2012\/12\/stable-channel-update.html\" rel=\"nofollow\">$4500 in bug bounties<\/a> for a number of High priority security issues.\n<\/ul>\n<h4 class=\"mw-headline\" id=\"Opera\">Opera<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li> As part of their efforts on encouraging developers to write applications for Opera-powered television sets, one of Opera&#8217;s evangelists released a <a class=\"external text\" href=\"http:\/\/people.opera.com\/danield\/presentations\/tv-strategy\/index.html\" rel=\"nofollow\">presentation summarizing common issues and how to address them<\/a>.\n<\/ul>\n<h4 class=\"mw-headline\" id=\"Microsoft\">Microsoft<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li> Microsoft released <a class=\"external text\" href=\"http:\/\/blogs.windows.com\/windows_phone\/b\/wpdev\/archive\/2012\/12\/06\/windows-phone-8-jump-start-training-is-here.aspx\" rel=\"nofollow\">20 detailed videos explaining how developers can develop for Windows Phone<\/a>.\n<li> Fixes for a dozen <a class=\"external text\" href=\"http:\/\/www.computerworld.com\/s\/article\/9234598\/Microsoft_quashes_critical_bugs_in_IE10_Windows_8_Word\" rel=\"nofollow\">vulnerabilities in MSIE10, Word, Windows and Exchange were released this week<\/a>.\n<li> However, a vulnerability in all versions of Internet Explorer allows users&#8217; mouse cursors to be <a class=\"external text\" href=\"http:\/\/spider.io\/blog\/2012\/12\/internet-explorer-data-leakage\/\" rel=\"nofollow\">tracked anywhere on the screen, even if the window is minimized<\/a>. Microsoft was notified on October 1 but no action has yet been taken to rectify the issue. The reporter notes that &#8220;The vulnerability is already being exploited by at least two display ad analytics companies across billions of page impressions per month.&#8221;\n<\/ul>\n<h4 class=\"mw-headline\" id=\"Maxthon\">Maxthon<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li> Maxthon this week released the <a class=\"external text\" href=\"http:\/\/www.maxthon.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow\">&#8220;first cloud browser that connects all of your devices&#8221;.<\/a> Working across PCs and iOS and Android mobile devices, the cloud-based services <a class=\"external text\" href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?feature=player_embedded&amp;v=hmLdb2aQ9IA\" rel=\"nofollow\">allow users to send links, images, and other content easily between different devices<\/a>.\n<\/ul>\n<h4 class=\"mw-headline\" id=\"Security\">Security<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li> Some Australian researchers have <a class=\"external text\" href=\"http:\/\/www.gizmodo.com.au\/2012\/12\/amazons-silk-browser-can-be-hacked-to-provide-free-grid-computing\/\" rel=\"nofollow\">published a paper<\/a> documenting how they took advantage of Amazon&#8217;s Silk browser to perform data analysis tasks.
