This can be attributed to our new ANR reporter and focus on fixing those hangs.\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"mw-headline\" id=\"Developer_Tools\">Developer Tools<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li> Jetpack is looking to uplift <a class=\"external text\" href=\"https:\/\/bugzilla.mozilla.org\/show_bug.cgi?id=878877\" rel=\"nofollow\">bug 878877<\/a> to Aurora, &#8216;tracking-firefox23&#8217; has been requested.\n<li> Devtools team is intensely focused on B2G debugging, Remote Inspection, UberRepl and Netmonitor improvements.\n<li> planning has started for next quarter on exciting things like devtools extensibility and extension tooling.\n<li> devtools posts on Hacks were the most traffic-worthy in the last month!\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"mw-headline\" id=\"Feedback_Summary\">Feedback Summary<\/h2>\n<h3 class=\"mw-headline\" id=\"Desktop\">Desktop<\/h3>\n<p>Firefox 21 is currently very quiet. Threads on the SUMO forums are down roughly 20-30% from the last release. We have staged the snippet surveys for 21 and should have star ratings and verbatims to share next week.\n<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"mw-headline\" id=\"Mobile\">Mobile<\/h3>\n<p>Very smooth, no updates.\n<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"mw-headline\" id=\"Market_Insights_from_the_Product_Marketing_Strategy_Team\">Market Insights from the Product Marketing Strategy Team<\/h2>\n<h3 class=\"mw-headline\" id=\"Desktop_.2F_Platform\">Desktop \/ Platform<\/h3>\n<h4 class=\"mw-headline\" id=\"Camino\">Camino<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li> The team behind the Gecko-powered <a class=\"external text\" href=\"http:\/\/caminobrowser.org\/blog\/2013\/#caminoend\" rel=\"nofollow\">Camino browser for Mac OS X<\/a> has <a class=\"external text\" href=\"http:\/\/www.computerworld.com\/s\/article\/9239685\/It_s_the_end_of_the_road_for_the_Camino_browser_for_Macs\" rel=\"nofollow\">called it quits<\/a>, and encourages users to adopt newer browsers.\n<\/ul>\n<h4 class=\"mw-headline\" id=\"Google\">Google<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li> Google announced the <a class=\"external text\" href=\"http:\/\/android-developers.blogspot.ca\/2013\/06\/bootstrap-your-apps-cloud-services-with.html\" rel=\"nofollow\">Mobile Backend Starter<\/a>, &#8220;a one-click deployable, complete mobile backend&#8221;  that allows developers to &#8220;reap the benefits of a cloud backend with none of the headaches.&#8221; The solution includes data storage, pub\/sub messaging, push notifications, continuous queries, Google authentication, and very low (free) price points for entry.\n<li> Google I\/O concluded a few weeks ago &#8212; in the Android world <a class=\"external text\" href=\"http:\/\/android-developers.blogspot.ca\/2013\/05\/android-at-google-io-2013-keynote-wrapup.html\" rel=\"nofollow\">key announcements<\/a> were improved Google Play Services, which add features for game developers, location APIs, cloud messaging enhancements, and cross-platform single-signon. <a class=\"external text\" href=\"http:\/\/developer.android.com\/sdk\/installing\/studio.html\" rel=\"nofollow\">Android Studio<\/a>, a new IDE, was released, as well as an updated Developer Console.\n<li> The Chromium team <a class=\"external text\" href=\"http:\/\/blog.chromium.org\/2013\/05\/testing-chromium-syzyasan-lightweight.html\" rel=\"nofollow\">released SyzyASAN<\/a>, a tool for detecting memory heap errors that supports Windows platforms. It&#8217;s a clone of ASAN, which supports Mac and Linux platforms. These features are now built into Chrome Canary builds.\n<li> Chrome Beta or Android now supports the Fullscreen API as well as <a class=\"external text\" href=\"http:\/\/chrome.blogspot.ca\/2013\/05\/browse-web-across-languages-on-go.html\" rel=\"nofollow\">instant translation<\/a>.\n<li> Chrome now has faster page loading, due to Blink&#8217;s threaded HTML parser. WebGL joins WebAudio and WebRTC as an option flag. It also now no longer supports HTML notifications; developers are encouraged instead to support the <a class=\"external text\" href=\"http:\/\/developer.chrome.com\/dev\/extensions\/notifications.html\" rel=\"nofollow\">Rich Notifications Chrome API<\/a>.\n<li> Chrome will soon receive more support for the RAW image formats from digital cameras. Support for RAW files from <a class=\"external text\" href=\"http:\/\/www.chromestory.com\/2013\/05\/chrome-and-chrome-os-to-get-support-for-more-raw-image-formats\" rel=\"nofollow\">many camera companies, including Sony, Canon, Hasselblad,Kodak, Nikon and Minolta<\/a> is on the way.\n<li> At Google I\/O, Google announced that the Chrome team had <a class=\"external text\" href=\"http:\/\/www.favbrowser.com\/google-removes-8-8-million-lines-of-webkit-code-from-blink\/\" rel=\"nofollow\">removed 8.8 million lines of code<\/a> from the WebKit codebase as they dropped unneeded build, platform and test case code to create their fork, called Blink.\n<li> Google announced that they will publicly release exploit information for partner companies&#8217; technologies (usually plugins and operating systems) <a class=\"external text\" href=\"http:\/\/googleonlinesecurity.blogspot.ch\/2013\/05\/disclosure-timeline-for-vulnerabilities.html\" rel=\"nofollow\">after 7 days<\/a> if a patch or an advisory is not made available by those parties.\n<\/ul>\n<h4 class=\"mw-headline\" id=\"Intel\">Intel<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li> Intel&#8217;s upcoming &#8220;Haswell&#8221; line of processors will offer <a class=\"external text\" href=\"http:\/\/www.computerworld.com\/s\/article\/9239509\/Intel_claims_Haswell_will_offer_50_more_battery_life_in_laptops\" rel=\"nofollow\">50% more battery life in laptops<\/a>. Intel and its partners hope to increase demand for PCs with this increased performance.\n<\/ul>\n<h4 class=\"mw-headline\" id=\"Microsoft\">Microsoft<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li> Microsoft <a class=\"external text\" href=\"http:\/\/blogs.msdn.com\/b\/ie\/archive\/2013\/05\/20\/ie-dev-center-finding-the-resources-you-need-quickly.aspx\" rel=\"nofollow\">reorganized their Internet Explorer Developer Center<\/a> to make it easier for web developers to find and use the tools they need.\n<li> Microsoft announced that IE11 would <a class=\"external text\" href=\"http:\/\/www.computerworld.com\/s\/article\/9239782\/IE11_on_Windows_7_Mum_s_the_word_from_Microsoft\" rel=\"nofollow\">ship with Windows 8.1<\/a> later this year, but has not said whether it will also be made available on Windows 7.\n<\/ul>\n<h4 class=\"mw-headline\" id=\"Opera\">Opera<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li> Opera <a class=\"external text\" href=\"http:\/\/arstechnica.com\/information-technology\/2013\/05\/opera-15-provides-a-mish-mash-of-opera-features-and-the-chrome-interface\/\" rel=\"nofollow\">released the &#8220;Next&#8221;, or beta, version of its browser<\/a>, now powered by the Blink rendering engine.  Reviews were mixed and Opera quickly <a class=\"external text\" href=\"http:\/\/my.opera.com\/desktopteam\/blog\/opera-features-and-release-cycle\" rel=\"nofollow\">followed up<\/a> with a blog post assuring users that it was a preview build and that more updates were <a class=\"external text\" href=\"http:\/\/my.opera.com\/desktopteam\/blog\/2013\/05\/30\/opera-next-15-update\" rel=\"nofollow\">on the way<\/a>.\n<\/ul>\n<h4 class=\"mw-headline\" id=\"Ubuntu\">Ubuntu<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li> Chromium is likely to <a class=\"external text\" href=\"http:\/\/www.omgubuntu.co.uk\/2013\/05\/chromium-to-replace-firefox-as-default-browser-in-ubuntu\" rel=\"nofollow\">replace Firefox<\/a> as the standard browser on Ubuntu.\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"mw-headline\" id=\"Marketing.2C_Press_.26_Public_Reaction\">Marketing, Press &amp;
