That means that many new people will be joining the community and we want to make sure they have a positive experience.<\/p>\n<p>To help new contributors understand more about what they\u2019re getting involved with, we\u2019ve posted  <a class=\"external text\" href=\"https:\/\/groups.google.com\/forum\/#!topic\/mozilla.governance\/yN4V-lYJH8c\" rel=\"nofollow\">draft text of a new volunteer agreement to Governance<\/a>. I wanted to share the discussion to get feedback and input.<\/p>\n<p>Before reading through it, I\u2019d like to be clear about a couple of points:\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> This is not intended to be a document that people will sign\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li> This is not something that applies to existing contributors, just to new people who are joining the community\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"mw-headline\" id=\"IT\">IT<\/h3>\n<p><i>Speaker Location: mjeffries, Mountain View<\/i><\/p>\n<p><b>VMWare Cluster Migrations &#8211; Changing engines at 36K feet without your passengers noticing!<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Last month, IT set out to replacing some aging VMWare clusters with shiny new clusters.  Being that these new clusters were setup as individual clusters from a clean slate, getting the virtual machines migrated to the new clusters took a bit of strategic engineering.  We have published a blog post today outlining the details of our &#8220;lifeboat method&#8221; of migrating virtual machines from one cluster to another with no downtime or impact.  Around 1,000 VMs moved and nobody noticed.  Just how we wanted it.
