It&#8217;s an AT&amp;T exclusive, is about the same price as an iPhone, and has a one-click buy button. Not expected to sell large volumes, but continues to round out Amazon&#8217;s HW offerings, and Bezos talked about <a class=\"external text\" href=\"http:\/\/bits.blogs.nytimes.com\/2014\/06\/19\/why-did-amazon-make-a-phone-a-conversation-with-jeff-bezos\/\" rel=\"nofollow\">why they did it<\/a>. They&#8217;re also <a class=\"external text\" href=\"https:\/\/developer.amazon.com\/post\/Tx2I49QTWPW228V\/Appstore-Developer-Select-Benefits-Expands-to-Fire-Phone-500k-Amazon-Coins-Offer.html\" rel=\"nofollow\">offering incentives<\/a> to developers for apps that take advantage of the Fire phone&#8217;s differentiating hardware and software.\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Notes<\/b>\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> Nokia\/MS is launching <a class=\"external text\" href=\"http:\/\/conversations.nokia.com\/2014\/06\/24\/nokia-x2-next-generation-x\/\" rel=\"nofollow\">an upgrade in its X line<\/a>, including a $130 X2 which includes a larger screen, double the RAM, a 1.2Ghz dual core CPU, and Dual SIM capability, and even adds a capacitive home button.\n<li> Starting to see changes in Chromium that will likely be announced this week, including new UX elements in Chrome in line with  Google&#8217;s <a class=\"external text\" href=\"http:\/\/androidandme.com\/2014\/06\/news\/rumor-google-is-going-to-change-modern-software-design-with-quantum-paper\/\" rel=\"nofollow\">Quantum Paper<\/a> unified design initiative, some of which can already be seen in things like Google&#8217;s <a class=\"external text\" href=\"https:\/\/developers.google.com\/web\/fundamentals\/tools\/setup\/setup_kit\" rel=\"nofollow\">Web Starter Kit<\/a>.\n<li> Yahoo! releases its <a class=\"external text\" href=\"http:\/\/aviate.yahoo.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow\">Aviate<\/a> home screen replacement app\n<li> Google Play revenue <a class=\"external text\" href=\"http:\/\/www.androidauthority.com\/google-play-store-year-review-2014-396212\/\" rel=\"nofollow\">continues to grow<\/a>, starts to shed stigma of having apps that people won&#8217;t pay for (although the Freemium model is driving revgen).
