We&#8217;re sharing the following statement:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;At Mozilla, we believe that privacy and security on the Internet are fundamental. The version of the USA FREEDOM Act of 2015 proposed today represents a significant step toward enhancing user privacy and ending mass surveillance. The bill curtails bulk collection practices, increases transparency around surveillance requests, and keeps data retention and other new surveillance mandates out of the legislation. There is more to do to make sure that privacy and security on the Internet is protected for everyone around the world.
