Mozillians Coming Together in each MozSpace!
As our organization grows, we are always looking for ways to increase employee engagement, productivity and overall morale in the workplace.
With your valuable feedback, each of our sites was able to offer activities that were impactful and cost effective. Here's a look at what we’ve been up to:
SFO enjoyed a Beer Tasting Night! Yes, wings and pretzels were on the menu, too!
LON enjoyed Pancake Day! They even had it with Canadian maple syrup. \0/
TOR came together for Wine Night Wednesdays! They paired wine with cheeses, cured meats and some fruit.
YVR had Board Game Night. You can tell it was pretty intense but very enjoyable.
This is what a typical morning in PDX looks like. Nothing more special than a friendly and happy work-community!
TPE enjoyed a very important end of year banquet celebration 2016. They did this Las Vegas style!!
MTV hosted the Hew Hire Graduation Party of 2017 with some bubbly and cake!
YVR & PDX implemented the positivity bowls for mozillians in their sites, spreading positivity and happiness all around.
TOR hosted their very first Board Game Night in 4 years! Friends and spouses joined in as well.
MTV Mozillians added their own special touch and decorated ornaments for their Christmas Tree. They were very creative indeed!
PAR took a trip to the Catacombs of Paris which are underground ossuaries holding the remains of 6 million people. There was no fear in these guys but appreciation and excitement.
MTV invited a robot doughnut maker onsite. The fascination with this machine kept mozillians coming back for more scrumptious treats it was creating. Hmmm..donuts!!!
The simplest things such as taking a 15 min walk after lunch for fresh air or doing mini challenges such as planking or 5 min wall-sit challenges with a group can be a nice breather. While some may get together for a breakfast treat, others will get together in the evening and share their passion for wine or beer or engage in competitive board games. What about meditating together? That helps too!
We are always looking for new and fun ways of enhancing employee happiness and engagement in the workplace. It's important to us. If you have any ideas or suggestions, feel free reach out to your local Offices Services Coordinator. #WearYellowForSeth

Seth is 5 years old and fighting severe combined immunodeficiency disorder (SCID), which means Seth’s immune system doesn’t work. The only proven cure is bone marrow transplant surgery.
On March 11th Seth & his parents asked the world to wear yellow, his favorite color, to lift his spirits and raise awareness of SCID. On Friday, March 27th, Mozillians at both the MTV and SFO MozSpaces gathered to #WearYellowForSeth.
His transplant date was 1st May 2015. You can learn more about Seth at his website, ourlittlehero.wordpress.com. All of our best wishes to you Seth!

On March 14th MVers said goodbye to Castro street and, just days later, on March 17th said hello to their new digs on Evelyn Ave! Many teams worked tirelessly to make a smooth transition to the beautiful new space.
The space was designed to meet the needs of the MV Mozillians. On March 13th, 2013 we launched our MV2014 kickoff meeting. Input and feedback was gathered into a comprehensive survey by MK Think Architects. The 50-page survey results led to key findings of what has worked in other MozSpaces and what needs still weren’t being met. What we discovered was a need for quiet workstations, collaboration areas, a micro gym, larger bike room, multiple break areas and outdoor seating. MTV2 has it all. Enjoy the photo gallery!

On Saturday May 10th, Chris Beard spearheaded Mozilla’s first annual Family Day! It was a huge success with a turnout of over 400 Mozillians and their families.
There were bounce houses, face painting, games, obstacle courses, art projects, incredible food and much more. Most importantly, it was a chance for Mozillians to spend quality time with their co-workers and families together.
Firefox 29 Launch Cantinas!
On April 29, 2014 Mozilla launched Firefox 29!!
To celebrate the hard work and success of many teams, each of our spaces celebrated with a special Firefox 29 Launch Cantina! Following the new “hamburger menu” we served make your own sliders, french fries, and milkshakes.

End of the Year Holiday Cantinas & International Privacy Day
Mozillians all over the globe celebrated the holidays with an end of the year Cantina. These gatherings gave Mozillians a chance to toast the many accomplishments of 2013 and look forward to the future of Mozilla. Each office had a wide array of food, drinks and activities making for a wonderful party.
