It is always so exciting to see our MozSpaces buzzing with with contributors and hackers! Active areas that support our huge open source community world wide are a key part of Mozilla’s modus operandi. WPR works with event sponsors to make sure that we remain welcoming to the community, as well as for Mozillians all over the world.
Here are the re-sponsor-bilities of an event sponsor:
– Make an event request in ServiceNow. This ensures your event does not conflict with any other events in the space. It also helps WPR coordinate with caterers, janitorial, building staff, etc.
– Schedule your room on Zimbra.
– Stay with your event! You are the line of communication between WPR and our visitors. Please do not leave before the event is over.
– Return the space to a clean and welcoming state after your event.

We’re not naming any names here. Surely you would never squat in a conference without reserving it first. Nor would you suggest that the person who did reserve it find another room because you’re on a very important call (discussion, Vidyo chat, etc.) We know that you always reserve your meeting room well in advance, and will check to see if a room is booked before popping in for a short chat. We know this, because you are awesome.
And luckily for us, reserving conference rooms has never been easier thanks to our amazing Desktop Team! You can now find meeting room furniture details and capacities in the Zimbra calendars as well as at the Global Conference Room mana page.
So keep reserving those rooms, kind Mozillians. It’s hip, it’s cool, and it’s easy as pie.
Please do not move yourself!
WPR is here to make sure you don’t get lost. If you wish to move to a new site or to another desk at your current site, please submit a request to firstname.lastname@example.org. We will verify the space is available (sometimes a desk looks vacant but it is already reserved), obtain your manager’s approval and work with you to schedule the move.
(nb. International or inter-state relocation will require the People Department’s involvement, and we’ll make sure they are in the loop as well!)
