Mozilla&#8217;s Rust logo was fabricated using <span class=\"st\"><span class=\"st\">COR-<\/span><span class=\"st\">TEN<\/span><em><span class=\"st\">\u00ae<\/span> <\/em><\/span>steel, is 42&#8243; in diameter and given a nice rusty patina.\u00a0 These pieces weigh about 100 pounds each and are being mounted very carefully by expert art handlers.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.mozilla.org\/places\/files\/2014\/08\/20140730_121035_resized_1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1311 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.mozilla.org\/places\/files\/2014\/08\/20140730_121035_resized_1-300x168.jpg\" alt=\"20140730_121035_resized_1\" width=\"300\" height=\"168\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.mozilla.org\/places\/files\/2014\/08\/20140730_121035_resized_1-300x168.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blog.mozilla.org\/places\/files\/2014\/08\/20140730_121035_resized_1-195x110.jpg 195w, https:\/\/blog.mozilla.org\/places\/files\/2014\/08\/20140730_121035_resized_1.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>This installation is part of a larger art program that was initiated late last year. John Slater, Sean Martell and Barry Munsterteiger on the creative side with Rob Middleton and <span id=\"DWT2035\" class=\"ZmSearchResult\"><span id=\"DWT2041\" class=\"ZmSearchResult\">Pauline<\/span><\/span> Proffett from WPR, formed a team charged with pulling Mozilla&#8217;s art assets and photos into one location and selecting pieces to display in our San Francisco and Mountain View offices. Through that process we&#8217;ve established a core art program for Mozilla&#8217;s offices that includes the option to install MozSpace logo signage in office reception areas, framed Mozilla branded t-shirts in work spaces and conference rooms, along with a wide variety of Mozilla branded art and photos.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>What&#8217;s next, you ask? First, we&#8217;re moving beyond San Francisco and Mountain View to other MozSpaces.\u00a0 So if you&#8217;re a Mozillian outside of California keep your eyes peeled, new art will likely be coming your way! Next, we&#8217;re looking to add local flavor and personality to each office where art is concerned:<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li><!--more-->A Community Art Gallery is planned for the Mountain View office (look for more details in Q4)<\/li>\n<li>MozPDX is actively looking for the right artist to paint a mural in their kitchen<\/li>\n<li>MozVancouver will install pieces created by local photographers and artists that reflect the parks and landmarks YVR conference rooms are named for<\/li>\n<li>Vancouver is also mulling over having a local artist create a Firefox-themed totem for their office<\/li>\n<li>We&#8217;re looking at an opportunity to have MVers assemble a Firefox logo made out of Legos<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>Most of these awesome ideas came from you, our amazing Mozillians.
