Since then, we have been reviewing the options for a clear path forward for Thunderbird &#8211; both organisationally and technically &#8211; to ensure its long-term stability.<\/p>\n<p>In line with the process we started in 2012, today we\u2019re taking another step towards the independence of Thunderbird. We\u2019re posting <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.mozilla.org\/thunderbird\/files\/2016\/04\/Finding-a-Home-for-Thunderbird.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">a report<\/a> authored by open source leader Simon Phipps that explores options for a future organizational home for Thunderbird.
