Privacy is an integral part of building an Internet where people come first.<br \/>\n\u201cIndividuals\u2019 security and privacy on the Internet is fundamental and must not be treated as optional.\u201d ~ Mozilla Manifesto (principle #4)\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>How you can help &#8211; Pathways for privacy contribution<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Over the past few months, the Mozilla privacy team has worked closely with the <a title=\"Community Building Team \" href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https%3A%2F%2Fwiki.mozilla.org%2FContribute%2FBuilders&amp;sa=D&amp;sntz=1&amp;usg=AFQjCNE0ysGWtqcNOYfg2IYMqZDMMepIqA\">Community Building Team<\/a> to create a pathway for privacy contribution. With support from tools built by the Mozilla Foundation, participation opportunities now exist for privacy pros and enthusiasts.<\/p>\n<p>Pathway for privacy pros (experts):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Collaborate<\/strong> with the Webmaker community to make to <a title=\"a series of Teaching Kits and activities\" href=\"https:\/\/webmaker.org\/privacy-makes\">a series of Teaching Kits and activities<\/a> around privacy and security on the Web. Share your ideas <a title=\"here.\" href=\"https:\/\/teach.etherpad.mozilla.org\/WebLitStd-Competency-Privacy\">here.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Join<\/strong> a <a title=\"content sprint\" href=\"https:\/\/teach.etherpad.mozilla.org\/ContentSprints\">content sprint<\/a> and help create new content or help add examples, case studies, and photos to existing teaching kits like <a title=\"this one. \" href=\"https:\/\/laura.makes.org\/thimble\/privacy-and-security-teaching-kit\">this one<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Make<\/strong> a <a title=\"Popcorn\" href=\"https:\/\/popcorn.webmaker.org\/\">Popcorn <\/a>video tutorial about one of our privacy add-ons like <a title=\"this one\" href=\"https:\/\/laura.makes.org\/popcorn\/1oj6\">this one<\/a> made by a Mozilla enthusiast in India (remixed).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Create<\/strong> a teaching kit for a group that handles personal data, such as student organizations, youth sports, Mozilla contributors, and more. Share your ideas <a title=\"here\" href=\"https:\/\/teach.etherpad.mozilla.org\/ContentSprints\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Pathway for privacy enthusiasts (non-experts):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Provide<\/strong> <a title=\"feedback \" href=\"https:\/\/teach.etherpad.mozilla.org\/WebLitStd-Competency-Privacy-Feedback-On-Kit\">feedback<\/a> on the Webmaker Privacy and Security <a title=\"Teaching Kit \" href=\"https:\/\/laura.makes.org\/thimble\/privacy-and-security-teaching-kit\">Teaching Kit<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Suggest<\/strong> a catchy name for our new group of privacy contributors and\/or help design a logo. Share your ideas <a title=\"here\" href=\"https:\/\/cbt.etherpad.mozilla.org\/privacy\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Teach<\/strong> online privacy with Mozilla\u2019s Webmaker <a title=\"Privacy and Security Teaching Kit\" href=\"https:\/\/laura.makes.org\/thimble\/privacy-and-security-teaching-kit\">Privacy and Security Teaching Kit<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Organize<\/strong> local showings of the documentary \u201cTerms and Conditions May Apply\u201d and help moderate a discussion. Jeff Beatty did this in Utah with wild success. (Well have snippet and newsletter content too).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Earn<\/strong> a Privacy Day 2014: Action Taker badge for taking action like downloading <a title=\"Lightbeam\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mozilla.org\/en-US\/lightbeam\/\">Lightbeam<\/a>, <a title=\"privacy add-ons\" href=\"https:\/\/addons.mozilla.org\/en-US\/firefox\/collections\/mozilla\/privacy\/\">privacy add-ons<\/a>, or <a title=\"DNT\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mozilla.org\/en-US\/dnt\/\">DNT<\/a>.
