Firefox is faster than it\u2019s ever been. In the latest version, we\u2019ve made several changes in order to reduce the amount of time it takes for Web pages to load.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.mozilla.org\/theden\/files\/2012\/07\/speed.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-523 alignright\" title=\"speed\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.mozilla.org\/theden\/files\/2012\/07\/speed.jpg\" alt=\"speed\" width=\"200\" height=\"116\" \/><\/a>When restoring a previous browsing session, Firefox now loads tabs one at a time as you select them, so you don\u2019t have to wait for tabs that you haven\u2019t activated yet to load.<\/li>\n<li>As you interact with the Web, memory is allocated as needed, freeing up space when it\u2019s no longer necessary for what you\u2019re currently doing.<\/li>\n<li>A newer technology is now the default experience (<a title=\"SPDY Hacks blog post\" href=\"http:\/\/hacks.mozilla.org\/2012\/02\/spdy-brings-responsive-and-scalable-transport-to-firefox-11\/\">SPDY<\/a> for those who are interested), which enables some of the most popular sites \u2014 like Google and Twitter \u2014 to load faster.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>2. <em><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.mozilla.org\/theden\/files\/2012\/07\/security_DNT.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-526\" title=\"security_DNT\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.mozilla.org\/theden\/files\/2012\/07\/security_DNT.png\" alt=\"Do Not Track\" width=\"130\" height=\"130\" \/><\/a>Security<\/em>. That new technology we mentioned above also makes you more secure on the Web. And that\u2019s on top of all of the extra security features Firefox already gives you. When you browse, you leave a trail of data that potentially contains all sorts of personal information. We believe this info belongs to you and you alone (and least of all to overzealous advertisers), so we <a title=\"Firefox Security Features \" href=\"http:\/\/www.mozilla.org\/firefox\/security\/#mission\" target=\"_blank\">built in features to make sure it stays that way<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>3. <em><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.mozilla.org\/theden\/files\/2012\/07\/community.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-524\" title=\"community\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.mozilla.org\/theden\/files\/2012\/07\/community.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"158\" height=\"159\" \/><\/a>We have a mission and it\u2019s all about you<\/em>.
