wir freuen uns das n\u00e4chste Open-Source-Treffen in M\u00fcnchen anzuk\u00fcndigen ! Die Veranstaltung findet am :<\/p>\n
26.2.2010 ab 18 Uhr im Cafe Netzwerk<\/a> (Luisenstrasse 11)\u00a0 in M\u00fcnchen statt.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Auch dieses mal freuen wir uns besondere G\u00e4ste von Mozilla begruessen zu duerfen.<\/p>\n
So ist dieses Mal aus Mountain View, California Chris Hofmann<\/strong> (er arbeitet seit 1996 an fast jeder neuen Mozilla\/Firefox Version mit) und aus Canada, Kevin Needham<\/strong> (u.a. Projektleiter fuer Build your own Browser \u2013 http:\/\/byob.mozilla.com<\/a>) mit dabei.<\/p>\n
Das Programm fuer den 26.2. sieht derzeit 3 Programm Punkte vor:<\/p>\n
– Florian von OpenOffice.org \u00fcber Neuerungen in Version 3.2<\/p>\n
– Chris Hofmann “The future of innovation in the browser”\u00a0 — Studies, experiments, prototypes, and projects going on a labs.mozilla.com<\/a>”
\nThanks to the release of Firefox and it’s increasing marketshare over the last 5 years competition in the browser market is alive and well with Microsoft, Google, Apple,\u00a0 and Opera producing new releases at more rapid rates.\u00a0 Where will browsers go next.\u00a0 The talk will explore Mozilla’s approach to research and innovating the browser and how you can participate in shaping the browser of the future. Current labs research projects including Weave, Jetpack, Test Pilot and a variety of others will be explored.<\/p>\n– Kevin Needham Customizing Firefox with Build Your Own Browser (http:\/\/byob.mozilla.com<\/a>)
\nTo date, only a small number of organizations distribute customized versions of Firefox. Build Your Own Browser is a pilot application intended to simplify the process of creating a customized Mozilla browser (including Firefox) for distribution. During his talk, Kev Needham will provide an overview of browser customization and BYOB, why Mozilla thinks it’s an important tool for the community, and what it will evolve into in the coming months.<\/p>\nKev und Chris stehen Euch zudem selbstverstaendlich nat\u00fcrlich auch zu anderen Fragen rund um das Thema Mozilla gerne zur Verf\u00fcgung.<\/p>\n
Auf der von OpenOffice.org und Mozilla gemeinsam initiierten Veranstaltungsreihe werden Anwender und Macher von freier Software zum Gedankenaustausch zusammengebracht.<\/p>\n
