    Please don’t ask people to sign up for “Meetup.com” just to go to your meeting. They spam. From their terms of service:

    “You understand that certain communications, such as Meetup service announcements and newsletters, as well as offers of sponsorship or promotion relevant and beneficial to you or your Meetup Group or Meetup Everywhere, are part of our Platform. By using our Platform, you expressly agree to receive such communications from Meetup. You may manage your subscriptions to Meetup communications in the Communication Preferences tab of the Your Account page; however, some basic communications are a necessary part of our Platform and may not be disabled.”
