We make Firefox for Android so that you can personalise your Web experience and get to the Web content you want to see quickly, easily and safely, no matter where you are in the world.
Now, you can make Firefox for Android your own in any of 55 languages, regardless of the language you originally downloaded your favorite browser in. With the new language switching feature, you can easily choose between and set a language without restarting your browser. You can switch between all of the languages Firefox for Android offers regardless of the locales supported by your Android device. Today, we have added Armenian, Basque, Fulah, Icelandic, Scottish Gaelic and Welsh language support to the languages Firefox for Android offered before. Customisable Home Screen Pages
There have already been various customisation options in the History, Top Sites, Reading List & Bookmarks home screen pages in recent versions of Firefox. Now, you can customise Firefox for Android even more: We have created home screen pages that allow you to access content directly from a variety of websites, feeds and services, such as Instagram, Pocket, Vimeo and Wikipedia.
Nate Weiner, CEO at Pocket says; “Firefox for Android is the best mobile browser for quickly saving articles, videos, and links to Pocket. And now, with the new home screen page featuring Pocket Hits, you have a world-class library of the most-saved and shared content in Pocket, right at your fingertips.”
Think of these home screen pages like a new kind of add-on for your mobile browser that puts the things you care about the most at your fingertips. You can always easily manage your home screen pages through the settings menu.
Clear History
We have made it even easier for you to enjoy a secure and private browsing experience that puts you in control. Now you can easily clear your history at the end of every browsing session. At the bottom of your History home screen page, you will see an option to ‘clear browsing history’. Simply tap that once and your history is instantly cleared.
Firefox Sync allows you to access your bookmarks, passwords, tabs and more from any Firefox browser on any smartphone, tablet or computer. If you are not yet using Firefox Sync, we added an easy way to help you get set up. Just go to the top of your tabs and tap the sync icon. Firefox for Android will guide you through a simple step-by-step way to set up your account.
