Local champion Jade E. Davis has pulled out all the stops to bring a Design Jam to Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Based on an initiative from the Mozilla Labs Concept Series, Design Jam Chapel Hill #1 will be held at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is supported by the Institute for Arts and Humanities.

Background

The Triangle (Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill) is a unique area in terms of the concentration of Universities, Research Triangle Park and the State Capital. We are looking forward to bringing together an enthusiastic group of people from the different realms.

In addition to having digital artists, graphic designers, UI/UX professionals and developers in attendance, we will also have students and professors from the various area universities and disciplines in attendance.

The Topic

We will be playing with an exciting design dilemma that is relevant to the area but also important globally as we continue move towards having more engaging and comprehensive digital experiences of things that were previously tied to very specific physical places. The actual topic will be revealed on the day on the Design Jam Chapel Hill wiki.
