Flying on Southwest?

You asked. We delivered.

You now can book flights and earn Rapid Rewards points through Southwest Airlines via Egencia.

Egencia’s Southwest Airlines partnership is landing in two phases.

Phase 1:

You’re now able to view Southwest flight options by clicking on a link on your flight search results page.  This link will bring you to our SWABIZ  (Southwest Airlines Business) account page.

If you are a frequent Southwest traveler you can log in with your Rapid Rewards number. If you do not have a Rapid Rewards number you can enroll in the program on this page. You can book and earn flight credits for Southwest Flights booked through SWABIZ and flights will be billed directly to Mozilla.

Important notes:

*Flights are booked through Southwest’s SWABIZ site, not Egencia.

*Please select the appropriate department code.

*Flight purchases will not notify an approver. Please check with your manager before purchasing your flight.

Phase 2:

Coming this Summer, Egencia will allow you to see and book Southwest flights directly from your Egencia results page.  Approvers will be notified and Rewards points will continue to be applied to your personal Southwest account.

Please contact Karen Esterly for all travel related questions.

London’s Calling!

Category: Mozilla Spaces

The London office is now online and ready to open its doors.

Officially opening at the end of March, a handful of brave Mozillians have already inhabited the space and report that it is indeed impressive.

Located on St Martin’s Lane, overlooking Covent Garden, the sleek London Office shares its cobblestones with other cultural outposts such as the English National Opera and the Coliseum Theatre, as well as bookshops, antique stores and cafes. This famous street was also the inspiration for the 1938 film Sidewalks of London, starring Charles Laughton, Vivien Leigh and Rex Harrison.

Easily accessible by transit, this office boasts a plethora of food (and pub!) options amidst the historic city center.

WPR is happy to report that the 42 desks, bright community area and Splendid Bar fridges will soon be stocked with Mozilla cheer.

Welcome to London, Mozilla!

We hope you enjoy your stay.

*Thanks to Ross Bruniges and Lucas Rocha for their photos

Traveling with Mozilla?

Category: Tips,Travel

Yes, we do that too.

Workplace Resources has taken over Mozilla’s Travel Systems management.  We’re working on making booking with Egencia easier- with earlier access for New Hires, extended flight options and clearer travel policies.

Stay tuned in to the WPR blog for news about travel! Contact Karen Esterly for questions and concerns.

Mozilla SF, a San Francisco Treat

Category: Mozilla Spaces

Welcome to San Francisco, home of the Golden Gate bridge, Ghirardelli chocolate, Rice-a-Roni, and of course, Mozilla San Francisco!  Did you know that our building is actually considered a San Francisco historical landmark? Built in 1926, the Hills Bros. Coffee company constructed our building in the heart of SOMA next to the Bay Bridge. It was originally outfitted with a specially engineered tower that used gravity to blend coffee beans. We love coffee as well, and have just ordered a brand new Toronto-esque espresso machine of which the Hills Bros. themselves would be proud!

San Francisco is a bike-friendly city and as such, Mozilla SF is launching a bike program next quarter. Soon Mozillians and fans alike can ride around the city and enjoying historic landmarks and amazing views.

Due to its popularity, the number of Mozilla employees in the San Francisco office has doubled since we opened our doors in August. We wish everybody could work out of our space, but right now we are completely out of desks. We are happy to report, though, that we signed a lease on the 3’d floor of the building and will be expanding our capacity with up to 50 new work stations by this summer.

We are excited to be growing and thriving in this great City by the Bay. Although Rice-a-Roni claimed it, I think we are the real San Francisco treat!

-Cristina Akimoff, WPR Office Services Coordinator, San Francisco

And trust us, it isn’t just WPR that thinks the new San Francisco is a pretty special place:

I’ve been living and working in San Francisco for many years and the Mozilla SF office is the most gorgeous office I’ve ever seen. The view is amazing and the people who work here are so talented and genuine. The New Year’s Eve fireworks were breathtaking!

— Jet Villegas, Sr. Engineering Manager

Everyday we get a front row seat to these two monumental features — the Bay and its Bridge — both of which inspire big thinking and considerable humility.

–Jason Haas, Student Community Manager
