Come to our Add-ons Meetup

On May 26 at 7pm we’re going to host the inaugural Add-ons meetup here at Mozilla. We’ll serve pizza and refreshments and give you a little presentation on what we’ve done so far in add-ons as well as what we plan on doing in the future. We’d love to hear your feedback!

For now we’ll plan on having this at Mozilla HQ- we’ll post any changes to the blog as well as to RSVP’d guests:
1981 Landings Dr
Mountain View, CA 94043

Everyone is welcome to attend- and presentations from any add-ons developers are encouraged. Let us know by filling out our RSVP form, so we know how much pizza to get!

Hope to see you there, and if you can’t attend in person, virtual participation will be possible on air.mozilla, phone, and IRC. We’ll be sure to archive the presentations so you’ll be able to check them out in the future. We plan on having this be a regular occurrence, so we’ll continue to refine this formula as we do these.

Thanks!

I still think we should call this the Add-ons Brouhaha.

Really, I expected a name with more zing. This might affect my attendance.

An add-ons meetup is a very good idea. I’d attend but I am just flying back to Europe the week before, so a virtual attendance will need to suffice 🙂

Well, maybe I’ll open Chatzilla (yes, an add-on, but part of the SeaMonkey 2 builds) if I happen to be awake Monday morning at 02:00 CET, but one thing already seems certain: here on the Old Continent there won’t be any pizza Mozilla. (Maybe I’ll order a pizza mozzarella which sounds most like it but by the time the event starts it’ll be cold ;-).) I’m not disparaging social events at Mountain View, CA., quite the contrary, but any idea if there may someday be a similar party at Mozilla Europe? If there is, be sure to announce it on this blog & RSS feed.

Any plans for an east coast meetup, around NYC? Im sure there are plenty of people that would love to attend.
