All candidates will join our rapid prototyping and incubation team and need to thrive in fast paced environments where things are in a constant state of flux, and who will be good at prioritizing issues in order to hit weekly product delivery targets.

Software Engineer

As a software engineer at Mozilla Labs you design and build both client and server software and bring a strong understanding of software architecture to the table. Your past experiences cross many domains and projects, and you feel at home in a variety of systems, languages and environments. You are not dogmatic about particular approaches but tackle each new problem with the best possible solution out of a large pool of options. In a word, you are a mad scientist, a hacker, an explorer and you have a track record to proof it.

Web Developer / Front-end

As Mozilla Labs’ web developer you love to bend HTML, CSS and JavaScript to your will to build stunningly beautiful and highly usable front-ends for applications and websites. HTML 5, CSS 3 and the latest JavaScript tricks are not only something you read on blogs about, but something you put to practice today. Experiences with managing many different projects, negotiating the needs, wishes and tight deadlines which often come with complex projects don’t even make you break a sweat. Plus you have a secret obsession for good UX and UI.

Head of User Experience Design

You live & breath UX. You have years and years of experience and seen it all. You have opinions and present them on the stage. You lead. You interact with the wider UX community and are a respected member of this wonderful group of people. As an integral part of the Mozilla Labs leadership team, you will be responsible for ideation and creation of new user experience explorations in the wider realm of Mozilla, lead the discussion about these explorations, represent Mozilla Labs at international events and work in tandem with the wider organization.

User Experience Designer

As an integral part of the Mozilla Labs team, you will be responsible for meeting the user experience design needs for a wide range of experiments and high profile projects, as well as being engaged in the brainstorming and design of prototypes and mockups for new user experiences. The incumbent will also work in close collaboration with the Firefox product team as we work to incubate and integrate new products and services into our mainstream offerings.
